Self-care is for always!
Self-care should be done all the time, all year round - but we can understand how certain times of the year are busier than others! Fall is the perfect time to wind down and get back to our self-care routines, or even start new ones.
Routines, routines, routines.
Everyone has their own version of self-care because truly, it’s relative to each person! It’s so important to find what’s best for you and the best part of finding what suits you best, is trying absolutely everything!
There are so many different forms of self-care from skincare routines, hair masks, taking mental health walks, turning off all electronics, baking up a storm while having a solo dance party (a personal fave) and of course, meditation and physical exercise. It’s important to realize how self-care can look different for everyone. For example buying yourself a bouquet of flowers and treating yourself to a delicious soy milk hot chocolate can be just what you need, but not what your bestie needs!
Tips, tricks & everything in between.
The most important thing to remember is if your self-care routine isn’t reducing your stress or making you feel better, it may not be enough or right for you. Self-care is supposed to be something you do to take care of yourself (literally!) so you need to make sure your mental health is supported throughout the process!
If you’re new to the whole self-care industry, think about what brings a smile to your face. Is it lighting a drool-worthy candle and burying your nose in a book under a blanket? Or is it going for a run in the sun by the water and stopping to grab a coffee after? You need to find what works for YOU!
What helps us is a clean environment. If your routine involves reading or anything at home, you may want to do a little cleaning session beforehand in order to be in the most comfortable environment to relax. We suggest lighting a candle once you’re finished and letting go of whatever negative feelings you’re holding on to before starting your routine!
Skincare is a huge one when it comes to self-care. The feeling of a fresh face is unmatched! It’s important to remember that self-care doesn’t need to be costly. You can find safe alternatives to masks online and dupes to many loved products in order to stay within your comfort zone and budget! It isn’t self-care if it stresses you out about finances - don’t forget that!
LLA self-care:
We have a huge team of ladies at LLA which means multiple different self-care routines. They vary from going to the nail salon and disconnecting, to putting a movie on at home and cuddling under the blanket. Moving your body is a huge one as well, whether it’s a low impact workout like yoga or a high impact workout like boxing, it’s important to listen to your body and we have many a lady that loves a good workout as a part of self-care!
We’re all about self-love, self-care and mental health. This is why our products are non-toxic and cruelty free. We also added sustainable glitter to our meltables which is a vibe in and of itself!
One of our favourite routines is lighting a candle, getting into bed with Friends on, a facemask and snacks around as we paint our toes and disconnect.
We want to hear about your self-care routines, let us know what they are and if candles are a part of your routines too! 💕🧚🏻♀️
